The Industrial Revolution refers to the greatly increased output of machine-made goods that began in England in the middle 1700s. Before the IR, people created textiles by hand. Then, machines began to do this and other jobs. Soon the IR spread from England to Continental Europe and North America.
1. Students will go over and turn-in their "Industrial Revolution Intro" Crossword (15 points)
2. Using pages 717-722, students will answer 10 essential questions outlining the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in Britain. A class discussion will follow.
